Month and year you earned your eagle:
August 2009
Describe your Eagle project:My project incorporated washing, removal of paint, and repainting of the walls in our gymnasium hallway in school colors. Also, we hung plaques on the walls to commemorate achievements of our sports teams and athletes.
What are some highlights of your Scouting experience?
My trip to Sea Base in Key West was the highlight of my Scouting career for so many reasons. I got to travel with my friends down to Florida and participate in amazing activities, including coral reef snorkeling, sea kayaking, and sailing. We still talk about the memories of that trip to this day.
Explain why Scouting has been important to you and why it's still important to our community and nation after 100 years:Scouting has given me an outlet to show my leadership skills. Becoming an Eagle Scout has been the achievement in my life that I am most proud of. I feel that Scouting has prepared me and all my Scouting friends to better face the challenges set before us. The lessons and values received in Scouting give all who participate not only a once in a lifetime experience, but a feeling of accomplishment and confidence to take on their tasks later in life. For that reason Scouting has been, and will remain, important to our community and nation.
